Budapest is a popular tourist destination, and the 7th most visited city of Europe. There are several locations that are part of the world’s cultural heritage, for example the view of the Danube Embankment, the Castle District in Buda, Andrassy street, the Heros’ Square and the Millennium underground train which is the second oldest one in the world after the tube of London. Other important landmarks include the bridges crossing the Danube, the Szécsényi thermal baths, Margaret recreation island, the Opera and many old historic cafe’s and restaurants like Gerbaud on Vörösmarthy square. Budapest is the capital with the highest number of thermal baths in the world many of which have a rich history and architecture. It is also home to Europe’s largest synagogue in Dohány street, the Hungarian Parliament which is the third largest in the world and also houses the Hungarian crown.
